Entries open for 2024-2025 CT SPJ college contest

The Connecticut SPJ college contest is now open for entries! Enter here.

The entry deadline is Wednesday, May 7, at 11:59 p.m.

Work created for a student publication and published during the 2024-2025 academic year is eligible for the contest.

Awards categories are:

• General Reporting

• Editorial/Op-ed

• General Column/Commentary

• Newspaper Layout (1-2 page spread)

• Magazine Layout (1-2 page spread)

• News Photo

• Feature Photo

• Sports Photo

• Sports Feature Story

• Sports News Story

• Breaking News

• Feature

• Video Storytelling

• Podcasting

• Innovative Digital Storytelling

The entry fee is $5 for college SPJ members entering on their own (membership ID number required) and $10 for non-members and college media outlets paying for entries.

The entry deadline is Wednesday, May 7, at 11:59 p.m.
